 CONGRATULATIONS TO HIS EXCELLENCY ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR AND GOVERNOR IFEANYI OKOWA... 

Princess Kemi Adesanya-Eboda, National President/Global Coordinator of Women And Youths Support Group for Atiku (WAYS); Chairperson of Coalition of Like Minds Atiku Support Group (CLMASG), has congratulated His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic party’s Presidential Candidate, for picking Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate.

Earlier on Thursday, it was reported that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar named Dr Okowa, Governor of Delta State, as his running mate for the 2023 general election. 

Nyesom Wike and Emmanuel Udom both Governors of Rivers and Akwa Ibom States, respectively, were also listed as likely choices for the position. 

However, the PDP Presidential candidate said he chose Dr Ifeanyi Okowa because the Delta governor meets “all or most of the qualities” he desires. 

In a statement made available to newsmen, Princess Kemi, who is also the Coordinator of the Campaign Network for Atiku Abubakar (CNAA) added that "an Atiku/Okowa ticket appeals greatly to Nigerians. Okowa being a governor will in no  small measure rally round other governors around thereby uniting  the  party the more. 

Princess Kemi, an active member of ASO G-32 Committee  went ahead to described Alhaji Abubakar as "a man who is focused on unity and  progress, a goal getter whose pedigree in the nation’s political space remains outstanding, and speaks for itself,” the statement reads. 

Princess Kemi assured that both South East and South South will find the choice of Okowa friendly as the governor's origin can be traced to both regions. "His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in his thirsty quest to carry every region along made a very good choice in Okowa. Okowa is a bridge between the South East and South South. He is of the Igbo speaking part of the South South. So PDP has gotten it right. 

“Therefore, it's a big congratulations to our candidate and principal, His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Dr. Ifeanyi Uzoma Okowa. Now that the formation is complete, we shall be getting ready for the journey to reclaim power from the All Progressive Congress (APC) in order to return Nigerians to that once enjoyed freshness of democracy.
